Alma Rose Eisert

Alma Rose Eisert, 84, of Hastings, died Sunday, February 7, 2016 with her husband at her side. She was born June 2, 1931 in Red Wing to Sidney and Alice Johnson. She grew up and attended school in Red Wing. After graduating from Red Wing Central High School she married her husband Gerald "Jerry" Eisert on June 28, 1957 in Red Wing. Alma worked at Goodhue County National Bank for 25 years. She then went on to start a family vineyard where she worked until the early 1990's. She was a member of the Church of St. Joseph. She enjoyed reading and spending time outside but she particularly cherished the time she spent with her granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband Jerry, of Hastings; one son, Perry (Cheryl) of Hastings; two granddaughters, Megan Rose (Michael) Williamson of Red Wing and Hannah Eisert of Hastings; one great granddaughter, Leah Rose Williamson; siblings, Sidney (Pat) Johnson of Beloit, Wisc.; Doug (Sharon) Johnson of Red Wing and Elizabeth Meyer of Red Wing; and sister-in-law, Sheila Johnson of Hastings.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Lou Tanner; and brother, David Johnson
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2016 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to the Kiwanis Flower Basket Fund or Red Wing Mayo Hospice.
