Clorene C. Skaggs, 107, of Woodbury, formerly of Red Wing, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Woodbury Care Center.
She was born July 16, 1910 in Beckett Mountain, Arkansas to James and Florence (Skaggs) Cook. She grew up on a farm and attended school in Beckett Mountain. In 1926 she married Blake Skaggs. The couple moved to Enid, Oklahoma where Blake worked in the flour mills for Pillsbury. They lived in Oklahoma until Blake retired. They then moved to Hager City and later to Red Wing to be closer to their daughter.
Clorene is survived by her granddaughter, Suzette Wells of Woodbury; many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, Blake; daughter, Louise Wells; son-in-law, Lester Wells and five siblings; William Cook, Floyd Cook, Mary Ella Jones, Lois Walters and Stella Cook.
Burial will be at Burnside Cemetery. Arrangements with the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
