Dallas John Bradshaw

Dallas J. Bradshaw, age 80, of Pine Island, died unexpectedly on July 25, 2017 at his residence. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 am at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Mahler Chapel in Pine Island with Reverend Deanna Woodward officiating. The visitation will be for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Dallas John Bradshaw was born on June 11, 1937 to Ralph and Florence (Karrow) Bradshaw in Mantorville Township. He grew up in Pine Island and graduated from Pine Island High School in 1956. Throughout his school years Dallas hauled milk and worked for several farmers in the area. He married Dorothy Berg, they had two daughters and later divorced. Dallas worked for IBM as a machinist for about 10 years. During this time he was able to purchase his own farm, where he lived for the next 55 years, he loved his land. After Dallas started farming full time he decided to take classes and he became certified welder and auto body technician. Dallas married Rosemary Schad on May 20, 2000 at the Unitarian Church in Rochester. Together they enjoyed square dancing, traveling and playing bridge with friends.
Dallas enjoyed woodworking, creating new tools and gadgets, restoring tractors and vehicles, and spending time with family.
Dallas is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Rosemary; two daughters, Nancy (Matthew) Hertz of St. Paul and Theresa (Tom) Benda of Pine Island; step-son, Hank (Barb) Schoonover of Golden Valley; six grandchildren, Sarah Hertz, Rebecca (Kyle) Ratcliffe, Dillon Hertz, Valerie, Madeline and Andrew Schoonover; great-grandson, Kaden; and one sister, Janice Bennerotte.
Dallas was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Anne Schoonover; brother, David Bradshaw; and his parents.
Memorials are preferred to Channel One, Salvation Army or a charity of the donor's choice.
