Dawn Marie Gray

Dawn M. Gray, 53, of Frontenac, died unexpectedly, Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Lake City. Dawn always thought of others first and will be remembered for her caring nature. She was an expert jewelry maker, she loved animals, collecting, and was loved dearly by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born Oct. 9, 1962, in Evansdale, Iowa to James Jr. and Ruth Rager. As a young woman she moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she married and had three children; she and her husband later divorced. In 2006, she married Luther Hafner and they eventually moved to Frontenac, where they have resided the past few years.

She is survived by her husband, Luke Hafner of Frontenac; children, Bradley, Michael and Remington Gray; step-children, Krystal and Johnathan Hafner; 5 grandchildren; a brother, Mark Rager and a sister, Kristen Conrad. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
