Don Charles Jagusch

February 25, 1928 — November 18, 2015

Don C Jagusch, formerly of Eau Claire Wisc., passed away Wednesday November 18 2015 in Red Wing, Minn. in the care of hospice and his family. Don was born in Red Wing, on February 25 1928 to Henry and Eva Mae (van Duesen) Jagusch and lived on the family farm until he graduated from Red Wing Central High School. He served in the Pacific Theater in the United States Army Air Force and was part of the contingent relocating the government of the Republic of China to the island of Formosa
(Taiwan) in 1949. After his military service, Don went to work for Northern States Power Company in Red Wing. He transferred to the Eau Claire office in 1956 where he met his future wife, Darlene Mae Ward. They married in 1957 and made Eau Claire their home for the next 58 years. Don and Darlene moved to Deer Crest Assisted Living in Red Wing in the spring of 2015 to be closer to family and to be a part of the truly wonderful Hospice program in town. Don was active in his family, church and the Masonic Lodge his entire life. He was a member and Past Master of Lodge 112 and a member of the Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his wife Darlene of Red Wing, son David (Pattie) of Red Wing, daughter Ruth Ann Blodgett (Jim) of Madison WI, grandsons Matthew of Shakopee MN, Michael (Syera) of Red Wing, and Taylor Blodgett of Eau Claire, a sister Barbara Schlitzer of Dubuque IA, four great granddaughters (Samantha, Charlie, Savannah, Rebbecca), and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, four brothers Ned, Jim, Bob, Dan, and three sisters Evelyn, Donna and Betsy.

Per Don's request, funeral arrangements are private, but laughing and dancing are encouraged anywhere you see fit.
