Donna Phila Hughart

Donna Phila Hughart, 67, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She was born February 15, 1949 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Charles and Ann (Campbell) Hughart. She spent her childhood in Albuquerque. She married Wallace Wells Jr. and moved to Prairie Island to raise her family. She loved being a mother and grandmother. She was a poet and was very philanthropic donating to orphanages and other organizations throughout her life. She greatly enjoyed going out to eat with her family and watching her grandchildren play at the park. She found great enjoyment in shopping and collecting various items as well.

Donna is survived by her sons, Wayne (Darcy) Wells of Prior Lake and Alex (Jill) Wells of River Falls; grandchildren, Santee, Midahkota, Kylie, Koda, Keegan, Deion, Ezra and Dezi; and one sister, Patsy of New Mexico. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and sister Carol.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Prairie Island Community Center. Visitation will be from 10 am until the service. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
