Dorothy Anne Veek

Dorothy Anne Veek, 89, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at St. Crispin Living Community, Seminary Home. She was born December 10, 1928, in Olmsted County, to Asa and Emily (Rodrick) Burdick. She grew up on the family farm and after her mother passed away, her family moved to Northfield where she graduated from high school in 1945. She married Warren Veek and together they had four sons. They later divorced. Dorothy has lived in Red Wing since 1955 and had worked in the payroll department at St. John's Hospital. She was a past den mother for many years while her boys were active in Boy Scouts. She enjoyed spending time with her family, often playing cards with them and the neighbors. She also enjoyed reading and going on family road trips.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Jody (Kathleen) of Elk River, Kirby (Shelley) of Frontenac, Larry (Marie) and Corey both of Red Wing; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one brother, Edward Burdick of Moorefield, WV.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and William Burdick; sister, Katherine Baker and a grandson, Steven Veek.
