Elda Marie Banidt

Elda Marie Banidt, 95, of Red Wing, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at the St. Crispin Living Community, Care Center in Red Wing. She was born January 26, 1922 in Mazeppa Township to August and Mattie (Albers) Banidt. She lived in the Goodhue area until moving to Red Wing in 1957. She attended St. John's Hospital School of Nursing and graduated as an LPN in 1958. She was employed in the O.B. Department at the hospital and two area nursing homes until retiring in 1984.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed music and flowers.

She is survived by nieces Marilyn (Nick) Luhman of Goodhue, Lois Dankers of Goodhue, Diann (Bob) Schachtschneider of Milwaukee; nephew, Wayne Dankers of Kalispel, MT; goddaughter, Janet Burfeind of Goodhue; and godson, Mark Luhman; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Verona Hadler, Irene Dankers; brother, Ervin Banidt; infant brother; Norman; nieces, Velva Mae Reese, Merry Dankers and nephew, Donald Dankers

Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Wing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial at Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Goodhue.
