Elizabeth L. Lillico

Elizabeth Louise Lillico (Maxwell) passed away peacefully on April 18, 2014 at the Lake City Hospital.
Elizabeth (Bette/Toots) was born September 20, 1924 in Red Wing, Mn to Theodore and Myrtle Maxwell. In 1944 Bette married John "Bill" Lillico during WWII. In 1948 Bill and Bette moved to Rochester and had 6 children; Jim (deceased), Cathy Lillico Knobel, Nancy Eubank (Tom), Linda Ziegler (Joe), Jackie (deceased), Todd Lillico (Eryne). John and Bette were active members of the American Legion and Bette served in the Legion Auxillary. They resided in Rochester for 23 years where they had an abundance of friends for many years. In 1971 Bill and Bette moved to Red Wing with their son Todd and grandson Duffy. They purchased the H&R Block and Bette worked as a receptionist. She also opened a gift shop called "Granny's". They rekindled many friendships with old friends and traveled with many. Bette was loved dearly by her children, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. To know her, was to love her.
Memorial Services with be held at the First United Methodist Church in Red Wing on Tuesday, April 22 at 11:00. A Remembrance Gathering will be held at 10:00. A luncheon will be served following the memorial service. A private committal service will be held at Ft. Snelling at a later date.
