Estella "Kathy" Gunn

September 9, 1930 — September 15, 2014

Estella "Kathy" Katherine Gunn, 84, of Red Wing, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, at St. Brigids at Hi-Park. She was born September 9, 1930, in Williams, Minn. to Charles and Lucy Eley. On February 16, 1985 she was united in marriage to James Wiley Gunn. Kathy and James lived in Aurora, Colo., Janesville, Wis., and then Red Wing. She was a nurse her entire life and in retirement she worked for Visiting Angels. She belonged to Seventh Day Adventist Church in Red Wing. Kathy enjoyed taking care of all her nursing patients, cooking, visiting with family and friends and spending quality time with her husband, Jim, and all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include, her husband James "Jim"; sons, Jeff (Mary) LeBaron of Prior Lake and Steve (Janet) LeBaron of Anoka; daughters, Pamela (Jerry) Davis of Philippi, W. Va. and Wanda (David) Wilson of Cohasset; son-in-law, Ronald Gunn of Palm Springs, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Sherry, David, Shyla, Ryan, Corey, Tara, Lance, Kayla, Becky; one younger brother, Louis (Sam) Eley of Stevens Point, Wis. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ernie, Hiram and George; sister, Dorothy and granddaughter, Heather.
Memorial service will be 4 p.m., Saturday, September 20 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Red Wing with Pastor Bill Nixon officiating. For more information call Barb (715) 792-2527.
