Gary Allan Kline, 58, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at his home after a courageous fight with ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease. He was born March 2, 1956, in Red Wing, to Donovan and Arlene (Hanson) Kline and graduated from Red Wing Central High School. As a young man, he began working for Tesdall Motors, where he worked for many years. He later worked for River Valley Lawnscape and for the local school bus company. He was united in marriage to Rosemary Barrett in March of 2013. Gary was most passionate about snowmobiling, dirt track car racing and was crew chief for Kelly Anderson. He was well known in Red Wing for his small engine repair skills.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; 2 step-sons, Branden Babcock of Norfolk, Virg., and Aaron (Amanda) Babcock of Hudson, Wis.; 2 step-grandchildren, Dominic and Anthony Babcock; 3 step-children from a previous marriage, Jeremy (Dulcie) Anderson, Kelly (Jen) Anderson and Stacey Anderson all of Hager City and their children; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2014 at United Lutheran Church with Karl Rydholm officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
