Generva LaVonne Jennings, 77, of Red Wing died on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. LaVonne was born on September 4, 1939 in West Concord to James and Florence (Quade) Holden. She grew up in the Red Wing area. On July 30, 1955 she married Paul Jennings in Ellsworth. After his honorable discharge, the family returned to the Red Wing area where their three sons where born. LaVonne worked at Riedell Shoes, Industrial Hardwoods, and at the Galaxy Hotel as a housekeeper. She was a member of United Lutheran Church. After her retirement, she found great enjoyment in volunteering at area nursing homes where she enjoyed visiting with the residents. Throughout her life she was a social butterfly which continued even after she moved in to St. Crispin Living Community-Seminary Home where she was found participating in numerous activities. LaVonne was a fan of bingo, playing cards-especially at family card parties, and loved a good garage sale.
