Henry O. Stellrecht

Henry Orin Stellrecht, 85, of Haycreek, died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in his home. He was born June 6, 1929 to Robert and Freda Stellrecht in Shell Lake, Wis. He attended Hamel School in Spooner. He joined the U.S. Army on March 21, 1951 and served in the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge he worked in construction and as farm help. He later worked for the Conservation Department of the State of Wisconsin. On April 14, 1956 he married Elizabeth Burkard in Spooner, Wisc. The couple moved to Red Wing in 1963 where Henry worked for Rivera Kitchens for 28 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid potato gardener. Most of all, Henry enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; six children, Brenda of Spooner, Wis., Jerry of Goodhue, Steve (Deanna) of Welch, Paul of Hastings, Brian of Red Wing, Beth (Brian) Hall of Zumbro Falls; 8 grandchildren, Kaela, Korbyne, Kamryn, Keaton, Dakota, Courtney, Cassandra and Lily; two siblings, Darwin and Norma of Shell Lake and sister-in-law, Shirley, also of Shell Lake.
He is preceded in death by his son, Bob; sister, Verna; brother, Sylvan and his parents.
Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m., Saturday January 24, 2015 at the Church of St. Joseph with Father Thomas M. Kommers presiding. Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Bellechester.
