Irene Emily Iocco

February 5, 1922 — October 16, 2016

Irene Emily Iocco, 94, of Wacouta, died peacefully at home on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016. She was born February 5, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Mary (Skoczylas) Klem and graduated from high school there. On January 2, 1943, she was united in marriage to Michael Iocco, Sr. and they continued to live in the Chicago area. For over 35 years she was employed at Murphy Lanier and Quinn CPA's until retiring. In 1992, she and Michael moved to Minnesota and resided in Wacouta. Michael died June 17, 2008. Irene was a member of the Church of St. Joseph and she enjoyed quilting and always loved to talk about her grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons, Michael Jr. of Tulsa, OK, Richard of Chicago, IL, Allen (Janet) of Auburn, MA and Gary (Vicki) of Wacouta; grandchildren, Michael Iocco, Melissa (Christian) Adamic, and Mary Beth, Katelyn and Leah Iocco and 2 great-grandchildren, Emily and Ethan Adamic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Iocco, Sr. and 12 siblings.
Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, with Father Thomas M. Kommers presiding. Burial will be at Wacouta Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha and Pierce counties. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
