James Howard Weberg

James Howard Weberg, 83, of Hastings, died peacefully Sunday, April 17, 2016, at his home, surrounded by family. He was born December 16, 1932 in Red Wing to Titus and Rosie (Swanson) Weberg. He grew up and attended school in Red Wing, graduating from Red Wing Central High School in 1952. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Red Wing where he married Marcia Johnson on April 14, 1957. The couple had four children. Marcia died on April 21, 1991. Jim worked at S. B. Foot before moving on to ADM from where he retired. On December 23, 1997 he married Valerie Carlsen.
Jim was happiest when he was outdoors. He had a large organic fruit and vegetable garden and he enjoyed fishing and camping. Jim loved animals and animals loved Jim.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie; four children, Marcianna McGuire of Fairfield, California, Nolan (Kim) Weberg of Granton, Wisconsin, Shauna (Robert) Donatell of Oakdale, Minnesota and Angela (Michael) Cleveland of Maplewood, Minnesota; three step children, Karen (Kenneth) Powell of Minnetonka, John Carlsen of Big Springs, Texas, Patricia (Timothy) Heit of Elk Mound, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren; five step grandchildren and one sister, Garnet Anderson of Hastings. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marcia; two brothers, Roger and Wally and one sister, Virginia Fanslow.

A visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. A private family burial will be at Oakwood. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfunralhome.com
