Katherine "Kitty" Shull

Katherine "Kitty" Helen Shull, 72, of Red Wing, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning, May 31, 2017 due to complications of ovarian cancer.
She was born November 6, 1944 in St. Paul, Minn. to Thomas and Kate (Boughton) McKeiver. She grew up in Somerset, Wisc. and graduated high school there. She raised her family in Cottage Grove and in Red Wing where they moved to in 1978. She attended Red Wing Vocational Technical nursing program and received her LPN degree. She worked for home health care agencies for more than 27 years, most recently with Hiawatha Home Health.
Kitty loved gardening, music, books, cooking and collecting recipes and was a lifelong advocate for children. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a good woman, both beautiful and strong.
She will be missed by many including her three children; James (Jackie) Shull of East Bethel; Terry Grant of Eden Prairie and Jennifer Shull of Red Wing; two grandchildren, Jordan Patrick Shull and Natalie Ann Grant; siblings, Micky, Marge, Barb, Terry, Tom and Pat and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marjorie Shull; siblings, Barbara Jean L'Allier and Nancy Casey.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Deacon Pat Evens officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
