Kenneth Daniel Howe II, 65 of Red Wing, died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at his home with his wife at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Kenneth was born on May 19, 1949 in San Francisco, CA. He served in the US Army in Germany and lived there for a number of years. He loved hunting, fishing, and photography. He especially enjoyed sharing his love of history and talking about his travels. He was a loving husband and friend and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; daughter, Rebecca Howe of Germany; mother, Lydia Swett of Wisconsin; and mother-in-law, Marilyn Beikler of Red Wing. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mamie Evelyn Howe.
A graveside service and interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2014. Those who wish to attend should meet at Fort Snelling in assembly area 5. Arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
