Kevin Mitchell Dodge

Kevin Mitchell Dodge, 63 of Red Wing died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Red Wing Health Center. He was born in Red Wing, Minnesota on November 20, 1950 to Richard and Muriel (Miller) Dodge. He attended school at Red Wing Central High School. After high school, he served in the National Guard for a number of years. On October 7, 1972, he married Nancy Ann Marthaler at St. Agatha's Church in Coates, MN. He began his living working at the Red Wing Shoe Company, and then started working for NSP (Xcel), where he worked as a Reactor Operator for 20 years before retiring. In his spare time, he liked deer hunting with his sons and good friend, Brad Huron. Nancy and Kevin loved traveling to many different places. He enjoyed a good film with his mother-in-law "Movie Buddy", Rosemary. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; children, Jason (Jennifer) Dodge, Chad (Lisa Marty) Dodge, and Melissa (Shannon) Reimer, all of Red Wing; grandchildren, Danielle and Olivia Dodge of Red Wing, Autumn and Wiley Dodge of Carrollton, TX, and Brianna and Parker Reimer of Red Wing; mother, Muriel Dodge of Red Wing; siblings, Margo (Chris) Torgerson of Huntsville, AL, Paula (Kim Reynolds) Dodge of McCallen, TX, Anita (John) Frawley of Sausalito, California; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dodge.
Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Church of St. Joseph, with Father Thomas M. Kommers presiding. Burial will be at Burnside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson Mahn Chapel and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
