Kimberley K. Sparr

Kimberley K. Sparr age 59 of Rochester died on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Zumbrota Health Services where she had resided for the past month.
Kimberley Kaye Smith was born on March 13, 1958 in Rochester, MN to Robert and Jean (Ellingrod) Smith. She grew up in Rochester and graduated from Mayo High School in 1976. Kimberley earned her Associates Degree in Nursing at Rochester Community College, graduating in 1978. Kimberley worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Marys Hospital. She was one of the founding staff that worked with Dr. Gracy in establishing the Respiratory Unit at St. Marys. Kimberley worked for over thirty years in the Respiratory Unit, retiring in 2010.
Kimberley was united in marriage to Charlie Sparr in 1988 in Las Vegas, NV. Kimberley enjoyed family trips to the beach in Florida, cheering for her Green Bay Packers, playing bingo, listening to her favorite rock band, "Aerosmith", being with her dog and spoiling her grandchildren.
Kimberley is survived by her husband and best friend, Charlie; daughter, Tabitha (David Jacobs) Sparr; son, Joshua B. Smith; grandchildren, Destiny Pomeroy, Wesley Jacobs and Zoey Jacobs; mother, Jean Eversman; brothers, Dennis Smith and Tom (Wendy) Smith; sister, Twila Smith; many nieces and nephews, her beloved dog, Fergie and countless lifelong friends.
Kimberley was preceded in death by her father, Robert and grandparents.
A Celebration of Kimberley's life will be held at a later date.
