Kraig King, age 52, of Rochester, died Friday, April 17, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Kraig Andrew King was born March 5, 1963 in Rochester to Harvey and Sharon (Towey) King. He was raised in Rochester and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1981. He was a chef at various restaurants in the Rochester area. Including the Wagon Wheel Steakhouse, where he met his wife Joan, John Hardy's BBQ, Tilly's Tavern, and the Wicked Moose. On March 5, 2001 he married Joan Harper in Las Vegas, Nevada, she survives. He touched many throughout the pool playing community, and also enjoyed cooking, traveling, fishing, boating, and cranking his music loud. Growing up in Country Club Manor, he was a lifetime member of the "Manor Boys". He was also an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his wife, daughter, Kia King, step children, Joey Ryan, Krissy (Jennings) Brommerich, sisters, Kathy (Keith) Jenkin, Kris Nogosek, and Karen (Randy) Everson, all of Rochester, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Buddy. His parents, and grandparents, preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Oronoco Presbyterian Church with Julie Beck officiating. Burial will be in Oronoco Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Rochester Chapel, and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
