Leon R. Reincke age 77 of Lake City, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Leon was born May 31, 1940 in Lake City to Raymond & Dorothy (Wohlers) Reincke. He attended county school in the Red Wing area. Leon graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1958. He farmed his whole life on the family farm in Hay Creek Township. He joined the National Guard in 1962. Leon married Peggy Johnson July 12, 1969 at First English Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. He enjoyed working on machinery and build machinery for the farm.
Leon is survived by his wife Peggy; two daughters Bonnie (Lowell) Borntrager of Lake City, Tammy (Mike) Thaldorf of Bay City, WI; a son Timothy (Maria Voorhees-Reincke) of Lake City; two grandsons and three granddaughters; a brother Wayne (Marla) Reincke of Rochester and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray & Dorothy and four aunts.
A Memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Belvidere Lutheran Church at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 27th with Rev. Fed Morck officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
