Logan Jacob Hinrichs, 14 of Red Wing, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 14, 2014 in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin. He was born November 25, 2000 in Red Wing, son of Luke and Emmy (Hinrichs) Husfloen. Logan was a student at Red Wing High School. He mowed lawns for his neighbors. Logan loved music. He enjoyed listening to everything from Johnny Cash and James Taylor to Green Day and Blink-182, along with everything in between. His favorite songs were "Hero of War" by Rise Against and "Amazing Because It Is" by The Almost. He was a Green Bay Packer fan and loved watching the Walking Dead and Family Guy. Logan enjoyed playing Xbox and was a Minecraft expert. He liked to learn and had a passion for math and science. He wanted to be a Marine Biologist. Logan enjoyed being active with track and field, lifting weights and working out. He liked spending time outdoors, and you would often find him working on his fort or hunting. He enjoyed bowling, camping, boating, swimming, especially at Colvill Park, and spending time at the skate park. A true foodie, Logan was a huge fan of Tropical Skittles, Imitation crab, French toast, Bacon, Banana milk, Cake and Pumpkin pie. Logan will be remembered for being soft-spoken, modest, polite, respectful, loyal to his friends and family, a proud big brother to his sisters, and most of all, kindhearted. Logan is unforgettable, and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Logan is survived by his Parents, Emmy and Luke Husfloen of Red Wing; Sisters, Brianna and Marley; Grandparents, Lee and Ole Olson of Trimbelle Township, Wis., Pam and Zac Hinrichs of Maiden Rock, Wis., and Randy and Cheryl Husfloen of El Paso, Wis.; Great Grandparents, Linnea Hinrichs, Kay Vogel, Lorraine Olson, Barry Moran and Mary Husfloen; Uncles and Aunt, Jake and Gina Hinrichs, Jimmy "Co Co" McCabe, and Alex Husfloen; many Great Uncles and Aunts; Cousins, Brittany and Hannah Williams, and Ethan and Coen Hinrichs; Godmothers, Shannon Zeien and Jamie Melstrom; Best Friend, Joey Braunreiter; Marcus Littleton; and many other family and friends.
Logan was preceded in death by his Great Grandparents, Eugene Vogel, Gordon Hinrichs, Howard Olson, and Rosie Moran; Great Uncles, Doug Hanson, Dale and Art Olson, Brendan Moran and Duke Hinrichs; and Eric Tix.
Memorial service will be held at 11:25 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at First Covenant Church, with Tim Anderson officiating. A private burial will be at Maiden Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the church. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Six String Saloon in Maiden Rock, Wisc starting at 3 p.m. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
