Lois Henrietta Kline, 86, of Red Wing, died Friday, July 25, 2014, at Seasons Hospice in Rochester. She was born March 25, 1928, in Lake City, to Fred and Clara (Mehrkens) Wimmer. In 1946 she graduated from Red Wing Central High School. She married Donald Kline and they later divorced. Lois was a long-time employee of Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, where she had worked for 35 years until its closing. She was an avid Minnesota sports fan, especially for the MN Twins.
She is survived by her daughter, Gena Kline; a sister, Arlene Aadalen and a brother, Merlyn Wimmer all of Red Wing and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Milton, Orlyn and Dale Wimmer and a sister, Verona Ray.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Michael Dobbins officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the Goodhue County Humane Society or Seasons Hospice.
