Lolis Marie Nesseth

Lolis M. Nesseth, age 83 of Kenyon died on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at her residence. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church - Aspelund with Pastor Gideon Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4-7 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Lolis Marie Swee was born on October 26, 1934 to Albert and Agnette (Svien) Swee on the family farm in Dennison. Lolis grew up in Roscoe and attended country school until her senior year; she transferred and graduated from Wanamingo High School in1952. She moved to the cities and worked at a secretary in the state capital for a year. She married Hilliard "Bob" Nesseth on October 23, 1954 at Lands Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. They bought a farm in Kenyon where they raised their three children. Lolis worked for many years for Maple Island at their Wanamingo and Preston locations. In 2003 Lolis and Bob moved to Deerwood, MN where she worked for several years at the Red Cross. In 2010 they returned to Kenyon and they both retired, Bob passed on November 5, 2010. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.
Lolis enjoyed going to the casino, gardening, playing cards, doing puzzles, having visitors, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lolis is survived by her children, sons, Michael (Julie) of Deerwood and David of Kenyon; daughter, Sandra "Sandi" Amundson of Rosemount; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, Harlan "Bud" Swee of Rochester; and many nieces and nephews.
Lolis was preceded in death by her husband, Hilliard "Bob"; son-in-law, Douglas Amundson; brother, Conrad Swee; sister, Eileen Fleming; and her parents.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
