Madonna Norton

February 18, 1956 — September 16, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of Madonna (Wojtczak) Norton - announces her passing on Saturday, September 16th at the age of 61 years after a courageous battle with cancer.

Madonna was born February 18, 1956 in Evergreen Park, IL, to Eugene and Marilyn (Poncinie) Wojtczak. She moved to Rochester with her family as a young girl in 1969. Madonna worked for the Mayo Clinic as an administrative assistant. She also volunteered for the Lion's Club, her local church and many school events in Kasson, MN. Madonna was actively involved with AFS Intercultural Programs and hosted two international students. Madonna enjoyed gardening, crafts and quilting. She treasured time with her granddaughters, Desuma & Eiowynn Norton. She will be remembered fondly for her generosity with others.

Madonna is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her son, Robert Norton and his daughters Desuma & Eiowynn. Madonna will also be forever remembered by her mother, Marilyn Wojtczak; sisters, Linda Wojtczak & Laurie Riekmann (Glenn); nieces, Laura Pratt & Sarah Barca and nephew Justin Riekmann. Madonna was preceded in death by Ronald Norton; her Father Eugene Wojtczak: her first husband Daniel Zwart and her sons Jeremy and David Zwart.

The funeral service will be Friday, September 22, at 11:00 a.m. Pax Christi Church in Rochester. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. She will always be with us in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family which will be distributed to her preferred charities. Online condolences are welcome
