Margaret Lillian Molnau

Margaret Lillian Molnau, 93, of Bloomington, formerly of Red Wing, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at her daughter's home. She was born on April 7, 1924, in Fortier Township near Canby, Minnesota to Ernest and Anna (Jesme) Ouverson. She attended District #52 schools near Canby and on June 23, 1945, she was united in marriage to Erwin Molnau at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Canby. They farmed near Chanhassen for many years and she also worked at Deli Express in Eden Prairie and Gedney Pickle Factory in Chaska. Erwin died in 1971. She moved to Red Wing in 1985 where she worked at Econofoods, as a food demonstrator. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Gloria (Ronald) Stehr of Red Wing, Paulette Molnau Monson of Bloomington, Douglas (ReNaye) Molnau of Norwood Young America, David (Judy) Molnau of Norwood Young America and Marilyn Cloeter of Winona; 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mavis (Thomas) Garrett of Little Canada and Nina Benz of Hendricks; one brother, Elden (Adrienne) Ouverson of Pine City; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Concordia Lutheran Church with the Reverend Tyge Zucker and Ronald Stehr officiating. Burial will be at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Chaska. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church.
