Marion Rose Dosdall, 95 of Red Wing died Sunday, Nov. 15 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing.
Marion was born on Aug. 16, 1920 to Richard and Ester Swanson in Claybank, Minn. She attended Jefferson Elementary School and graduated as an all-star student and valedictorian of her class in 1939 from Red Wing Central High School. After high school she worked at St. John's Hospital as a medical records transcriptionist.
On March 28, 1942, she married Earl Dosdall at First Lutheran Church in Red Wing. Together they operated Earl's Repair Shop at the intersection of 1 and 6. She was involved in the Happy Circle, a homemakers group for many years.
Marion is survived by her daughter Alice (Larry) Ohme of Parrish, Fla.; sons; Robert (Kathy Ness) Dosdall, Barry (Jean) Dosdall and Richard (Jill) Dosdall, all of Red Wing. Grandchildren; Denise (Dan) Jones of Divide Colo., Michael (Stephanie) Ohme of Tampa, Fla. and Wendy Dosdall of Red Wing, sister-in-law Fran Swanson of Red Wing and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl and brother Vernon Swanson.
Pallbearers will be Bob, Barry, Rich and Wendy Dosdall, Larry Ohme and Steve Krawiecki.
Funeral will be on Thursday Nov. 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Arte Sharot officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements are by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
