Mary Lou "Doatsie" Catura, 72, of Pepin, Wisconsin, died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Pepin Health and Rehab, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 10, 1944, in Red Wing, to Leonard and Bedelia (Christianson) Riegleman and graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1963. She worked a short time at Palms Café. On August 16, 1969, she was united in marriage to David Catura and they resided in Hager City. For 34 years she worked for the Red Wing Shoe Company, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Svea Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Bay City Legion Auxiliary. Mary Lou enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and Chinese food was one of her favorites. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and attending their sporting and school events.
She is survived by her husband, David of Plum City; three daughters, Kim McGuire of Fall Creek, Wis., Kelly (Brian) Watts of Hastings, MN and Katie Neal of Fall Creek, Wis.; grandchildren, Tyler (Thea) Branchfield, Jordan and Mackenzie McGuire, Kaylee Catura, Carter, Lily and Cole Watts; one sister, Sally (Van) Welke of Stillwater; one sister-in-law, Ruth (DeWayne) Swanson of Spooner, Wis. and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Gene Riegleman, one nephew, Steven Riegleman and one granddaughter, Paige Watts.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Svea Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will be 10 a.m Friday at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing.
