Patrick James Christenson, age 62, of Lake City, Minnesota, passed away on October 7, 2017, of Multiple Myeloma and Amyloidosis. God remained faithful to him through his cancer journey. He was born on February 21st, 1955. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from St. Mary's in Winona with his Bachelor's in Mathematics and his Master's Degree in Mathematics from Syracuse University, New York. Pat worked at IBM in Rochester, MN for 37 years as a Software Engineer. Pat was married to the wife of his youth, Susan (Sue/Suki) Schumann. They were married on July 11th, 1975 in Crystal, MN. Pat was a loving, devoted husband, and father to 9 adopted children. He always put his family first. He was very dedicated to his family, church, and work. Pat was characterized most by his strong relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Pat is survived by the love of his life, Suki. His children Joshua (Daphne), Luke (Christina), Luis, Mark, Jenny, Marta (David), Amalia, Micah, Olivia. His seven grandchildren Jacelyne, Elijah, Mila, Ethan, Isaiah, Kaius, and Dietrich. As well as his mother, Lois, his step-mother, Alma, his brothers Denny (Jean), Mike (Jody), step-sister, Cindy, step-brother, Kim (Sharon). As well as many other relatives and close friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Linda, and father, Harold (Chris).
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Hiawatha Bible Chapel in Wabasha with Reverend Nate Kemper officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.
