Paul E. Matti

Paul Edward Matti was born on April 1, 1922 to Louis and Anna Mae (Yennie) Matti in Dodge County on the family farm. He was raised in Concord Township and graduated from West Concord High School in 1940. After high school he worked on the family farm and played for several amateur baseball teams in southern Minnesota, he was an outstanding pitcher. Paul married Jeanne Buehler on July 9, 1946 at Berne Church. They bought a farm in Milton Township where they lived for 65 years. They farmed here and raised their two children. After selling the dairy cattle, Paul worked for Feigal Surge for 15 years. After he retired in 1982 he enjoyed hunting, going to grandchildren's sporting events and being outdoors. In 2012 Paul sold the farm and moved to Evergreen Place in Pine Island.
Paul enjoyed wood working, playing cards, going for drives and spending time with his family.
Paul is survived by his two sons, Larry (Linda) Matti of Kasson and Lynn Matti (Nancy Frie) of Rochester; four grandsons, Christopher, Nicholas, Nathan and Josh; and eight great-grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne; three brothers and one sister.
Memorials are preferred to the Zwingli United Church of Christ.
