Sharon Rusch

Sharon L. Rusch passed away on June 15, 2016. She was born on May 10, 1937 in St. Paul, Minn. to Eldon and Marcella (Johnson) Swenson. At the age of three she moved to Red Wing and attended local schools, graduating from Red Wing Central High School in 1955. She married Donald Rusch on July 2, 1955. Red Wing Shoe Company was her place of employment from 1954 until her retirement in January 2000. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary Post #54, VFW Auxiliary #1218, Red Wing Arts Association, Goodhue County History Center, Friends of the Library, Red Wing Area Seniors and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include sons, Craig and Kelly (Terry); daughter, Suzanne; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; step-father, Ed Betcher; and sister, Judith Straub.
