Terri L. Ludwig
Teresa "Terri" Leah Ludwig, 63, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born August 18, 1951, in Hudson, South Dakota, to Hobie and Grace (Paulson) Cole. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1969 and from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion in 1973 with a Bachelor's degree in Education/Special Education. She was united in marriage to Ron Ludwig on March 3, 1973, at the Congregational Church in Hudson. She taught in McCook Lake and Alcester, South Dakota before they moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota. In 1987 they moved to Red Wing. Terri was a dedicated employee in the Red Wing School District retiring in February 2014 after 23 ½ years. In her free time, Terri could be found in her flower garden, feeding the birds, reading a good book, or baking a sweet treat. She was happiest when the entire house was filled with her grandchildren running around. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church.
Terri is survived by her husband, Ron of Red Wing; 4 children, Kari (Bill) Shaleen of Vermillion, Abby (Ryan) DeBonis of Eagle River, Alaska, Lee (Kate) Ludwig of Goodhue and Matthew Ludwig of Red Wing; grandchildren, Zachary and Travis Shaleen, Kade and Jax DeBonis and Henry, Grace, Laura and Oscar Ludwig; her father, Hobie Cole and siblings, Mike Cole, Cindy Slack, Sherman Cole, Eileen (Terry) Sestak and Don (Laurie) Cole and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother, Grace.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Goodhue with Reverend Regina Hassanally officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials preferred to the Susan G.
