Wildonna Catherine Bang

Wildonna Catherine Bang, age 89, of Red Wing, died Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. Brigid's at Hi Park. She was born in Red Wing to George and Anna (Kunde) Strusz on August 8, 1925. She attended school in the Goodhue area. On June 24, 1944 she married Kenneth Bang and they farmed in the Red Wing area. She also did house cleaning for people, worked for Riviera Kitchen Cabinets, and Braschler's Bakery. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved to dance, play cards, and travel. She also enjoyed doing a lot of quilting. Kenneth died on January 27, 2006.

She is survived by two sons, Byron (Gayle) of Red Wing and Merlin of Pepin, WI and Gold Canyon, AZ; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Ella (Donald) Hadler of Goodhue; one half-brother, Richard Kunde and Cathey Kunde of Red Wing; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Judith Diercks; parents, George and Anna Strusz; infant brother, Raulo and brother Harlyn Strusz;

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Greg Strunk officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Funeral arrangements are with Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
