Mary (Lemke) Britt

Mary Jane Britt, 87, of Bay City, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, surrounded by her family.  She was born March 25, 1936, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, to William and Ruth (O’Connor) Lemke. She graduated from Aquinas High School in LaCrosse in 1954.  In September of 1955, she married Eugene Britt and they lived in Bay City.  Mary worked at Josten’s in Red Wing, retiring after 39 years.  She and Eugene were antique dealers and they enjoyed antiquing and traveling.  Eugene passed away on March 19, 2006.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Catherine (Frank) Dosdall of Bay City and Brita Britt of Red Wing; grandchildren, Heidi (Brian) Streeter and Nick and Adam Carpenter and 7 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, John Lemke.

Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2024 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with a visitation one hour prior.  Burial will be at a later date at Bay City Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
