Barbara Jean (Holliday) Farnham

          A funeral service for Barbara Farnham will be held Friday April 21st at 1:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel.  The Rev. Nancy Wheeler Handlon will officiate.  Following a fellowship lunch, the burial will be at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday April 20th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Mrs. Farnham, 77, of Rochester, died Tuesday April 11, 2023 at her home where she had recently been under hospice care.

          Barbara Jean Holliday was born September 2, 1945 in Douglas, Minnesota.  She was an avid gardener and canner.  She loved the family farm, horses, dogs, and cats.  She was always there to help anyone in need.  In her early years she worked at Holiday Inn South, and the Rochester turkey hatchery.  In later years she worked at Neil’s Electric, and Seneca Foods, from which she retired.

          Barbara is survived by her loving husband Neil Farnham; daughter-in-law Julie Farnham; aunt Patricia Allen; nieces, nephews, and numerous family members.

          She was preceded by her parents Margaret (McGowan) and Gerald Holliday, father and mother-in-law George and Lellia Farnham, son Dwayne Farnham, and brother Merrill “Doc” Holliday.
