Rita Steuernagel

Rita Catherine Steuernagel, 89, of Rochester died on Friday, November 25, 2022.
She was born on March 17, 1933 in Altura, MN to Jacob and Cecilia (Kirch) Schlink.
Rita grew up in the Rollingstone area and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Rita married Wilbur in 1952 and worked at Mayo Clinic for 16 years. 

Rita is survived by her daughter, Mary Plank of Greenville, SC; son, Mark Steuernagel of Wausau, WI; grandsons, Brian Rinehart of Kasson, MN and Cody Steuernagel of LaCrosse, WI; granddaughters, Trista Putnam of Trempealeau, WI and Jennifer Hayworth of Onalaska, Wi; seven great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Steuernagel; parents, Jacob and Cecilia Schlink; brothers, Jacob, Paul, and Peter Schlink.

Funeral Mass will be held at 12 P.M. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston, MN on Thursday, December 1, 2022 with two hours of visitation prior. 

Burial will follow the Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. 

A very special thanks goes to Marie Knoll, who is a dear friend and was a loving caregiver to Rita.
