Bette Ann Blattner

Bette Ann Blattner, 82, of Rochester, formerly of Red Wing, died on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Cottagewood Senior Community in Rochester. She was born on September 23, 1934, to Allen and Laura Beth (Carlon) Anderson. She attended schools in Red Wing. Bette married Karl Blattner and they later divorced. Bette worked at LaGrange Shoe Factory and the Marigold Dairy both in Red Wing. Later she worked at Dell's Restaurant in St. Paul before moving to Wabasha where she worked as a cook at the Anderson House. In 1998, she moved to Jordan Tower I in Red Wing where she was on the resident council for many years. Bette had been residing at Cottagewood Senior Community in Rochester since June 19th of this year. She enjoyed walking, crossword puzzles and playing bingo.
Bette is survived by her two daughters, Diane (Tom) DeMarino of Oronoco and Sally (Gary) Markham of Red Wing; 2 granddaughters, Jodi Danielson of St. Paul and Lori Danielson of Rochester; 2 great-grandsons, Cory Bale of Rochester and Tyler Sweeney of St. Paul; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Robert, William and Allen Anderson.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing. Memorials are preferred to the Goodhue County Humane Society. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
