Dennis George Leroy Holden

Dennis "Pinky" George Leroy Holden, 71, of Red Wing, died on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born February 24, 1947, in Faribault, to James and Florence (Quade) Holden. Dennis grew up and attended school in Red Wing. On February 21, 1970 he was united in marriage with Linda Bach and they made their home in Red Wing. He worked at Durkee Atwood for 36 years and Treasure Island, before retiring in 2008. He was a member of United Methodist Church. Dennis enjoyed playing bingo and cards, watching TV, having a slice of cherry pie, and playing electronic handheld games; but one of the things he enjoyed the most was having his kids and grandkids over for pizza.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Linda; four children, Christine Anderson (Richard Spriggle) of Red Wing, Rebecca Holden of Red Wing, Tracy (Matthew) Quiding of Rochester, and Josh Bach of Bay City; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one on the way and siblings, James Holden Jr. and Betty Holden both of Red Wing.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; son, Loren Holden; siblings, Sam Holden, Pat Albrecht, Helen "Bubby" Johnson, Irene Albrecht, Evelyn "Tootie" Hayes, Glenn Holden, and Lavonne Jennings.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018, and one hour prior to the service, all at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bay City Cemetery.
