Obituary

Donald Herman Rademacher age 80, of Rochester passed away August 6, 2019 at Stewartville Care Center in Stewartville, MN.

Don was born April 17, 1939 to Marcella (Loechler) and Herman Rademacher in Lake City, MN. He married Phyllis (Bartels) July 9, 1966 in Elma, IA.

His working years were spent in the Produce and Meat departments of Super Value in Lake City, Owatonna, Hutchinson, and Rochester. He eventually transitioned to a custodian at Mayo Clinic, retiring after 15 years in 2001. He enjoyed owning and managing his three rental properties in Rochester. He also enjoyed playing cards with his family.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis, their two children Gregg Rademacher, daughter Jennifer and her husband Steve Grinnell, grandsons Grahame and Griffin Grinnell, all of Rochester, MN; his sisters Marlene (Dick) Wallerich, Isabel Blattner, Jean Beck, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jerry Rademacher, and brothers-in-law Milton Blattner, and Myron Beck, nephews Jim Blattner, Bob Beck, nieces Gloria Stenglin and Jeanie Beck.

A memorial service will be held Saturday August 17th at 11:00 AM at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 4520 19th Ave. NW in Rochester with Pastor Stephen Meyer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Ennichement of the urn will be at Oakwood East Cemetery in Rochester.
