Donna Mae Lindquist, 83, of Red Wing, died peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born May 6, 1934, in Chatfield, Minnesota to Kenneth and Leila (Struck) McRae. She graduated from Chatfield High School in 1952, and Winona State University with a degree in Education. Donna married Clifford Lindquist on June 11, 1972. She worked for many years as a teacher in the Red Wing School District. Donna enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards, eating out, and most of all spending time with her family.
She leaves behind her daughters, Wanda (Steve Calderon) Avery, Sara (Greg) Skeen, and Jeri Young; her 5 grandchildren; Danielle, Kristen, Mitchell, Ryan, Matthew, and their families, including 14 great grandchildren; her sister Betty Ann Tetzke and her brother Kermit McRae and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff Lindquist and her parents.
A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Private burial will be at the Chatfield Cemetery in Chatfield, Minnesota. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017 at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
