Dorothy E. Naseth

Dorothy E. Naseth, 96, of Red Wing, died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born May 22, 1922 in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin to Hilton and Ethel (Julian) Hoffman. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Red Wing where she attended school. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1939. She married Ronald Naseth in Red Wing on July 2, 1943 and the couple made their home next door to the house she grew up in. Dorothy started work as a legal secretary for two different lawyers before becoming the register of probate for Goodhue County. She retired in 1985. She was a life-long member of First Lutheran Church in Red Wing. She and Ron enjoyed traveling, going for drives and playing cards. He passed away in 2002. Dorothy enjoyed reading, spending time in the sun, working on word puzzles and privately helping those around her in need. She will be remembered for her happy, cheerful nature.
She is survived by her brother, Richard (Jeanne) Hoffman of Edina, MN; nephews; David Wayne (Beth) Hoffman of Mosinee, WI, Scot (Kim) Hoffman of Apple Valley, MN, David R. Hoffman of Eden Prairie, MN and niece; Cindy Hoffman of St. Louis Park, MN; as well as 9 nieces and nephews on her husband's side.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron; brother, Robert Hoffman and her parents.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., May 10, 2019 at First Lutheran Church with Reverend Arthur Sharot officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery.
