Evelyn Helen Weick

August 28, 1928 — November 26, 2019

Funeral services for Evelyn Weick will be held Monday December 2nd at 2:00 PM at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island. The Rev. Marie Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday December 1st from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Mahler Chapel, in Pine Island, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be be at the Oronoco Cemetery. Evelyn, 91, of Pine Island, and formerly of Mazeppa, died Tuesday November 26, 2019 at Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island.

Evelyn Helen Schultz was born August 28, 1928 in Wabasha, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Pearl Schultz. She was educated during her grade-school years in Hammond, and then attended high school in Rochester. She married Lawrence Rollie in 1946. He died in 1972. She married Charles Weick in 1974, and he survives. Evelyn worked in various jobs in Rochester, including Neisner's at the Miracle Mile, Saint Mary's Hospital, Sears, and Telex. She enjoyed bowling, pie baking, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. She was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Oronoco Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her husband Charles Weick of Mazeppa; daughters Judy Rollie of Mazeppa, and Connie Rollie of Rochester; a son Jim (Wendy) Rollie of Oronoco; son-in-law Dale Christopherson of Ostrander; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Two sisters-in-law also survive, Betty Schultz of Zumbrota, and Irene Schultz of Rochester.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Lawrence Rollie; son Edward Rollie; daughter Laurie Christopherson; and ten brothers and sisters.

Special thanks to Evelyn's granddaughter Bobbie Jean Rollie and her family for their faithful care and guidance during Evelyn's last years. And heartfelt thanks to Seasons Hospice and Pine Haven Care Center.
