Frances Burgett

Frances Ann Burgett, 88, of Stewartville formally of Lake City passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in Rochester at St. Mary's Hospital. Frances was born on July 5, 1929 in Lake City to Arthur and Clara (Wilde) Herbst. She grew up in the Lake City area. After school, she married Vernon Allers on October 5, 1947 in Lake City. The couple farmed on the outside of Lake City. They later divorced. Frances worked at Pace Dairy in Rochester until her retirement. After her retirement, she worked at Reichel Foods. Frances married Jim Burgett. They later divorced. She moved to Stewartville in 2015. Frances found great enjoyment in spending time with her family, friends and her dog, Cuddles.

Frances is survived by a daughter Kathleen (Jerry) Wood of Arkansaw, WI; sons Gerald Allers of Rochester and LaVern Allers of Austin; 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren; son, Kenneth Allers; five brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel. Burial will be following the service at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
