Gloria Ellen Stucki

Gloria Ellen Stucki, 91, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Augustana Health Care Center in Hastings. She was born on December 13, 1927, in Dodge Center, Minnesota to Glen and Dorothy (Martin) Weaver. She grew up on a farm in the area, attended country school and graduated from Claremont High School in 1944. She attended Mankato Commercial College and worked several years for an insurance company in Owatonna. On September 18, 1946, she was united in marriage to Dale Stucki in Claremont. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Red Wing where they raised their six children. In later years, she worked at the Seminary Home and enjoyed working as a nursing assistant for 12 years. Dale died on April 20, 2017. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she worked in the nursery and taught Sunday school for many years. She also was a member of Presbyterian Women, serving on the boards and committees and belonged to Chapter P of the PEO. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and volunteering at Washington School. She will be remembered for her unconditional love, unwavering faith, quick wit and her great sense of humor.
Gloria is survived by her six children, Dan (Mary) Stucki of Eden Prairie, Steven (Barbara) Stucki of St. Paul, Denise (Gordon) Fitschen of Red Wing, Jane (Robert) Remlinger of Johnson City, Texas, Shari Bengs (James Zackary) of Hager City and Joel (Ronda) Stucki of Red Wing; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Mardell Naylor of Star Prairie, Wisconsin and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Garren Weaver; one sister, Sharill Weaver Lopez and one grandson, Jeffrey Fitschen.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2019, at First Presbyterian Church in Red Wing with Reverend Heidi Bolt officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Berne Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to First Presbyterian Church Nursery or donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
