Kevin W. Crofton, age 63, of Rochester, died Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System in Minneapolis. Kevin Ware Crofton was born May 20, 1955 in Rochester to Loren K. and Doris E. (Albrighton) Crofton. Kevin attended Mayo High School where he was involved in wrestling and music. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Hawaii. After his discharge from the Marines he worked in Minneapolis, attended Chefs School, and worked at various jobs in that capacity. Later he attended Upholstery School and operated his own Upholstery Business in Rochester. Kevin sang in the Rochester Male Chorus and continued piano lessons with a love for music. He enjoyed motorcycling, reclaimed an old car and van, and welding. At the time of his death he attended New Testament Baptist Church and witnessed the change Christ worked in his life. Kevin was generous and loving to friends and family and will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind a daughter, Morgan Kieffer, grandchildren, his mother Doris Crofton, brothers Michael (Vicki), Ranger (Cathy), Marty, and Patrick (Shannon) Crofton, sisters Lynn (Larry) Clark, Jenny Lyn Sparrow, Wendy Crofton, and Bronwyn (Thomas) Doty, and many nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at White Oak Cemetery in Thornburg, Iowa at a later date.
