Kim Marie Morth

January 15, 1969 — June 19, 2019

Kim Marie Morth, a woman of strength, courage and joyous spirit, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, after an 8 ½ year battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 50. She was born on January 15, 1969, in Plum City, Wisconsin to Raymond and Hazel (Peterson) Erickson and grew up near Maiden Rock. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1987 and later attended the Red Wing Vo-Tech. On May 21, 1988, she married the love of her life, Tim Morth, at Sabylund Lutheran Church. Together they had 3 children, and they made their home in Hager City-a home that was complete with their two dogs and cat.
She had worked at Citizen's Security and the Red Wing Shoe Company, before she began her career at Prairie Island Nuclear Plant/Xcel Energy. She was a member of Lund Mission Covenant, where she was baptized and confirmed and was currently a member of English Lutheran Church. Kim's favorite place and time in her life was being at their land in Pine Creek and camping with her family. Her family was so important to her-Tim was her rock and her children were her spirit. The connections she had with her friends and co-workers were present throughout her life. Kim was a proud Packer fan and she treasured her trips to Hawaii and the Grand Canyon. She will be remembered for her humor in the midst of her fight and her gratitude. When days were hard, she found peace in the simplicity of an evening ride with Tim in his truck to watch the sunset.
Kim is survived by her husband, Tim; two sons, Lucas and Cody Morth both of Ellsworth; one daughter, Jenna Morth of Hager City; her mother, Hazel Erickson of Stockholm; one sister, Linda (Ed) Groom of New Richmond, Wis.; one brother, Jeff (Shelly) Erickson of Stockholm along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and sister-in-law, Sue Erickson.
A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2019 at English Lutheran Church in Ellsworth. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, June 23, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
