Lisa Meier, 57, of Zumbro Falls, Minnesota passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. She was born on July 17, 1960 to Richard and Doris (Holden) Strom in Red Wing, Minnesota.
Lisa graduated from Red Wing High School in 1978. She married Tony Meier on April 5, 1984 in Lake City. After Tony joined the Navy they moved to California where they made their home for four years. In 1988 Tony was discharged from the Navy, and they returned to Minnesota. In 2008, they moved to Zumbro Falls. Spring was Lisa's favorite time of the year, and she couldn't wait to get outside to plant her flowers. She loved her cats and spending time with family and friends. Most of all, Lisa enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, who she loved so dearly.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Tony Meier of Zumbro Falls; son, Kyle (Mariah Nickelsen) Meier of Lake City and one granddaughter, Elaina; brother, Tim (Lolita) Strom of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters, Heidi Lund of Red Wing, Mary Beth Strom of St. Paul, MN; mother, Doris Strom of Red Wing; and mother-in-law, Joyce Meier of Lake City. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Strom and father-in-law, Dale Meier.
A Celebration of Lisa's Life will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorials are preferred to donor's choice. Online condolences can be sent to http://www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
