Lois G. Grobe

Lois G. Grobe, age 88 of Pine Island died on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Pine Haven Care Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island. Burial will be at a later date in the Pine Island Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lois Gladys Henn was born on April 2, 1931 in Lake City, MN to Richard and Irene (Wiebusch) Henn. She grew up on the farm, attended country school and graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1948. On November 23, 1949 she married Harold Grobe in Lime Springs, IA. They farmed in the Lake City area until moving to Zumbrota in 1968. In 1973 they moved to Pine Island. Besides helping Harold on the farm, Lois worked as health care aide for many years. Lois enjoyed collecting dolls and spending time with her family. She was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church.
Lois is survived by her children, Steven (Jennifer) Grobe of Austin, Sherry (Clay) Hagen of Ottumwa, IA, Bob (Cynthia) Grobe and Keith Grobe, both of Pine Island; grandchildren, April (Ryan) Henzel, Matthew Grobe, Bryce Grobe, Justin Grobe, Jason (Melissa) Hagen, Jon Hagen and Dena Huettl; great-grandchildren, Emma Gabrielson, Colton Henzel, Emma Grobe, Billy Grobe, Joey Grobe, Tessa Grobe, Chole Stone and Joey Hagen; great-great-grandchild, Luna Stone; sister, Elaine Folkert of Rochester; daughter-in-law, Barb Grobe of Tomah, WI and sister-in-law, June Henn of Lake City.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sr.; son, Harold Jr.; daughter, Cindy Waters; brothers, Edwin, Emery, Dallas and Richard (J.R.)Henn; sisters, Dolores, Esther and Jean.
