She was born August 29, 1925, in Hager City, Wisconsin, to Phillip and Elsie (Raethcke) Ross and grew up in Red Wing. As a young woman, her sisters nicknamed her "Torchy" an endearing name that stuck with her throughout her life. She met her husband, Elmer Laughnan, and an adorable couple they were. She ended her working years as a "lunch lady" at the Red Wing Central High School, where she served and fed hundreds of high schoolers.
Marge was a member of the Church of St. Joseph, the Leo C. Peterson American Legion #54 & Burnson-Lillyblad VFW #1218 Auxiliaries. In their younger years, she and Elmer enjoyed dancing and roller skating and as they matured, they enjoyed Saturday shopping trips, playing cards and occasionally, a trip to the casino.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Bonnie (Steve) Flueger of Red Wing and Kathryn (Ronald Harden) Laughnan of Eugene, OR; grandchildren, Kelsy & Jenna Laughnan both of Portland, OR and Maggie (Eric) Hawkenson of Red Wing; great-granddaughter, Stevee Hawkenson; brother, Lyle (Inez) Ross of Hager City; sister, Joyce (Haggstrom) of Orland, FL and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 sisters; 1 brother; husband, Elmer and a great-grandson, Cooper Hawkenson.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church.
