Mary Gloria Pribyl

March 14, 1930 — January 21, 2019

Mary Gloria Pribyl, 88, of Red Wing, passed away peacefully Monday, January 21, 2019, at the Three Links Reflections Care Suites in Northfield, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 14, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph and Veronica (Burns) Hendricks. Her family moved to Mapleton, Minnesota where she attended grade school and graduated in 1948 from Good Council Academy in Mankato. For a few years she worked in the office at Salets Department Store. On February 22, 1955, in Mankato, she was united in marriage to Gordon Pribyl. They moved to Eyota, where she worked as a secretary for Waters-Connelly Refrigeration. They later moved to Zumbrota and in 1967 to Red Wing. For 27 years she worked as a postal clerk at the Red Wing Post Office, retiring in 1996. Gordon died on February 11, 2013. She was a member of the Church of St. Joseph, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and assisted with funeral luncheons. She volunteered for the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary and the Sheldon Theatre. Throughout her life she enjoyed sewing, doing crossword puzzles, reading, having breakfast with the retired postal workers and the faculty wives group, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her children, Jan Busch of Nisswa, Minnesota, Barb (Dan) Riegelman and Jim Pribyl all of Red Wing, Jerry (Nina) Pribyl of Cannon Falls, David (Kelly) Pribyl and Don Pribyl all of Frontenac; ten grandchildren, Annah Busch, Katie, Aaron and Abby Riegelman, Zak and Emma Pribyl, Brian Jensen, Ryan, Sydney and Tyler Pribyl; one step great grandson, Tristen Jensen and one cousin, Father Robert V. Monticello of Detroit, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and son-in-law, Glenn Busch.
Mass of Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the Church of St. Joseph with Father Thomas M. Kommers officiating. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, January 25, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to the Goodhue County Humane Society or donor's choice. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
